I have been instructed by Jack to get myself over to this part of the forum and ask the question, because I have been ordered to perform at the Dallas bash.

I want to do "Play That Funky Music White Boy". I usually play it in E. I can't sing though.

Anyone up for it.

Okay, cool, but we need a singer. We'll need to do it exactly as on the record and decide on the ending beforehand.

Any singers out there?

Bring the lyrics and hit up Nick DuBaldo - he gave the performance of a lifetime singing for anyone that asked at the original open house (We won't mention the gastrointestinal issues though);)

I'll give him credit, he had big MusicMans getting up in front of everyone and offering his services.

The only thing "funky" about that white boy Nick DuBaldo is the way he smells.

Message from Nick:
Darrell is more than welcome to sing that song because Nick won't be.

I think he did great and he didn't even know the songs. No one else had the guts to just get up there and sing a song they didn't know, the last minute, while reading lyrics off a piece of paper, in front of a room full of musicians. I barely had the guts to go up and get my own food at the buffet..:D ..let alone stand up there and sing. You rock Nick!

So Darrell said he would only sing if I played it too. I'm bringing my SiLO Bass Guitar so I would like to officially request to be a part of the Funky Music Whie Boy Song. :)
