I've got my eye on two different SUB 1's. One is an HH with trem, and the other is an HH hardtail.

My question has to do with tuning stability on the trem model. I do alot of Drop D and some alternate tunings, and I'm wondering exactly how stable the tuning is on the trem model.

That is the major issue influencing which one I'm going for. The only other decision is the color . . . graphite versus teal. I can go either way on that one.

Can't comment on the tuning stability of the trem as mine is a hardtail but I'd say
that the graphite is a really nice finish and seems very hardwearing. I got the graphite with an added black scratchplate and it looks (and sounds) very nice.

I bought it off Kompressaur on this forum and havent been this happy with a guitar ever. Beautiful neck, great low action and it stays in tune for a loooong time. I know Komp had it tuned to D and was pleased with the crunch. I'm tuned to standard and its got a great sound.

Its so nice I want to buy all the other EB's!

I've got two sub 1 trems, I play 3 to 4 nights a week
this past weekend we did an outdoor festival and played
a few covers, one of which I tune to drop d during the intro
I've gotta tell you I have no problems with tuning!!!I did
screww the trem claw down a little more to put extra tension
on the springs but just a little. The trem along with the locking tuners
keep my subs in perfect tune!

I have not had any problem with my Sub 1 with trem. Haven't even opened it up either. I'd say its still set up the way it left SLO. I haven't tuned it to any alternate tunings.

I need to open one up and see if the connector is there, but somehow I don't think it is.

I wasn't sure if the trem was floating, or was essentially flush mounted.

Thanks everybody for the input. It's almost decision time.
