A honeyburst Stingray was dropped off at my front doorstep yesterday by the friendly FedEx man. This beauty used to belong to Moondog, but now it's mine. This is a '95 Stingray in mint condition! The bird's eye maple on the neck is gorgeous.

I'm diggin' this bass!

I agree. With Tort, it would not give the finish any contrast and look too busy, IMO. I'm glad you got that bass Bill. It needed a good home.

Thanks! Yeah, I think black would look nice. I may pull the black PG off of my other Stingray & pop it on the new one to see how it looks.

This bass kicks serious ass. I did my first gig with it this past Saturday night. The tone was absolutely perfect, as I expected. Our sound guy said he liked the finish on this bass (and then asked me why I didn't get a 5-string ). After the gig, one of our guitar players said that the bass was awesome & that he loved the honeyburst.

I love my all-natural Stingray, but it just looks so plain next to this baby.

I don't think this bass is going anywhere soon!!

Black on honeyburst looks great. I have black and white pickguards for my honeyburst Sterling, and the black is on there full-time now.

Nice Bill, my favorite p/g for the bass is white
and that is the original p/g that came with
the bass in '95.

I occasionally swapped black in . . here's a poor
quality gig shot w/black - one of the very few times
I gigged that honey . .
