I stopped by Guitar Center this afternoon and they had a new lava pearl Bongo HH on close out. Had never actually played one, although my stingrays get tons of action. Needless to say, after an hour of test-playing and negotiation, it is now resting on my workbench waiting for me to go do a minor set-up on it.

Yeah Sapphire black with abalone pg - the photo doesn't do it justice tho. I'm sure everyone else has the same thought about theirs.

I've had a chance to spend a bit more time with it (good ol' understanding mrsPhatbassdood ) but I can't get over how good it sounds. I break out in a big grin every time I plug it in.
