Hey All - I played a benefit show on Nov 4, the same night of Jack's Birthday Bash. It was to raise money for the mother of a friend of mine who was killed in Iraq. It was a great show, raised some money and made everyone who attended a better person. My friend's mom refused to take the money (long story), so we decided to do something for her. We had a contractor build her a ramp to make it easier for her to gain access to her house. The ramp she had was not the best and worried me to be honest. Many of you here know the story of what went on and some donated money to the cause. THANKS!

Now, we have another benefit show coming up December 9th for a friend of the bands. Her name is Courtney and she was in a horrible car accident quite a while ago. She is paralyzed from the waist down. Since I am involved in the planning of this show, I am getting things together to raffle off, prize give aways etc. We will be performing as well as 2 other of her favorite local bands. This is where I would like a little help from everyone here.

First...I DO NOT WANT MONEY. We have a fund raiser (singer's wife arranged) going and it is going very well.

Second....I would love to have as many of you guys/girls send me a guitar/bass pick with a "Get Well Soon" letter. That simple....just send me a pick (sign it as well if you would) and write "Get Well Soon". This simple gesture would mean a lot to her. I came up with this idea as I know how we are here with sending prayers and well wishes to each other. Do not feel committed. Only do this cause you want to. I have local musician's doing this as well and we want to give them to her.

E-mail me if you want my address to where you can send them to.

Thanks for taking the time to read this...Mods, if you need to move this elsewhere, feel free.

Thanks everyone, you guys/gals ROCK!

It sounds cool, but why would someone want one of my Jazz IIIs? Who the hell am I? I'm just an amateur hack. No criticism meant, but I'm just wondering. That being said, if someone will get a brighter day out of having one of my picks, well...fine...

Aw man...sorry I didn't clarify this strange request. Courtney collects guitar picks. She has one of the biggest collection of guitar picks I have ever seen. From celebriites, rock stars to hacks like me. When I first met her, she knew I played bass in a band and wanted a pick. So, this is a cool way of letting her know us "musicians" are wishing her well. Hope this explains it better for you.....

Okay. So, I got my main Jazz IIIs. I also have a bunch of other picks that I experimented with in the past, but I don't really use. Should I send along some of those?

Cool, have some Eminence Red Coat Series picks with Brit flag. Wondered what I was saving them for.

Hi Koogie

Would be glad to join in. I have a few personalised ones left from the days when I thought I deserved such things!:D

Also a few printed ones from UK guitar shops that she may not have.

Cheers!
