Hey gang i have been trying for months to get a Gmail account but it seems nobody i know has one and the only way to get one is to be invited by a member who has an existing account ,so i was wondering if anyone here has one?and would do me the favor of inviting me so i can join ,

well i always like to have an alternate addy and hotmail isnt accepted at alot of places now and the newmsn livemail seems iffy and i dunno everyone says gmail is great so i thought i would give it a try

Gmail is googles email service, just like Microsoft has Hotmail.

The big thing with Gmail was that you got 1GB of free space. I think that might be 2GB now. The twist is that Gmail "reads" your emails and adds advertisement based on the messages. So if you send me a message about going to Hawaii, I might get advertising about hotels or flights, etc. Of course this is a computer program doing this, but it has raised lots of privacy issues.

What I found a bit odd with mine is that I was invited by someone who had a gmail address, and mine is now googlemail... very odd! Not sure which it is now, or if it varies depending on where you are etc...

But I like it a lot
