Oh Tiff I would love to say I have some freelance stuff going, but its a little slack this time of year, to be honest if you were still in Auz it would be easier as there are some distilleries out there I have trouble getting covered.
Bar work is prob the easiest to find at this time of year, or even retail (no dont do that the drinking public are much nicer).
Hope you snag something....will keep an eye out incase there is anything.
Oh - you could try some local papers for a bit of freelance snapping if you have your portfolio with you. Will be hard to break in the short term but you never know. There are some papers that need football coverage at the weekends, especially at a local level.

Edinburgh or Glasgow are the places to go for that. Large student populations, lots of tourists, lots of bars. Plus there's a lot of music stuff going on in both cities.

After playing a few gigs in Glasgow, that's where I'd choose to live if music was my main priority (at the moment it's living near good primary schools, paying bills etc... small town stuff). It's got a population big enough to support a decent music scene... there's all sorts of weird and wonderful things going on. Great place.

I agree totally Dave. I lived in Glasgow for 7 years and its a brilliant place. Thankfully I still get back every few months.
Loads of places to check out - King Tuts, Sleazy's, The Halt bar, QMU.
