When you play guitar, what do you use for an amp?

Do you own and guitar amps?

Just curious. :D

I used to collect vintage fender amps and have a pretty decent collection. I have a few marshalls also

For Modern amps i have been using this three channel marshall combo that i was liking but hated in Dallas

The other modern amp I sometimes use is a THD I would like to get one of those that is a little morre powerful.

That texas Boogie intrigues me.

The funny part is that I never know what my rig is going to be. It is whatever Dudley loads into the truck

BP,
now that you've answered the amp question, let me ask what sort of acoustic do you own and favor(brand/model)?

I think Bill Collings is a genius and have more of his guitars than I want to admit. I have vintage martins and a few choice gibsons. I play more acoustic than electric and play a little mando and uke also

Which one...or two of Bill Colling's guitar do you favor? I my self have D2HA.
I'm curious, do you pay the full price for his guitar??? Or do you work out some sort of trade with EBMM guitars?

My first Collings is special it is a balck stained c10 and there is a 000 that I really love but i have about 18 of them...... Im the robelinda of collings. Most companies offer a trade price as a professional courtesy.

Good one!!!! I'm not even on the radar with some of the guys here who have like 30 of them. Gotta catch NorM next......I think he's on 11.

18 Collings guitars, holy moly thats heaps! Ive only played a Collings once, sensational guitar, I like small bodied acoustics, because i'm kinda small bodied! Big dreadnoughts just dont fit me, my ribs hurt!

Soon as the twentieths arrive I'll be at 13. I have a hunch they will be here before the end of the year. I think a 2007 LE JP is in next years budget.

Would you believe that the word "twentieths" was not recognized by dictionary.com?

you go NorM! i love lookin at pics of your balls! silhouette wonderland!
I am so looking forward to doing a family portrait when the 20th's get here! I've even considered going down to the GC and hanging on the wall to take the picture. I don't have 13 guitar stands, any suggestions on how to arrange that many guitars for a picture? I know! I could ship them to you and let you take the picture.:)

yeah i truly suck at taking photos, i'm trying to get better! I was happy with the honeyburst shot, but it could be way better!

NorM i have the same problem, not enough stands, and no idea how to get all my balls in one shot!!!

You could try using some heavy guage fishing line. It's usually capable of taking a good deal of weight, plus you get the "look my guitars are flying" mystery in the shots.
