Just picked up my first EBMM. An Axis sport with sunburst finish, 2 humbuckers, rosewood fretboard, hard tail and piezo pick up. It does not have a pick guard like most of the sports that I've seen on the website. Looking for a date of birth. The serial # G10677. It's an awesome guitar, that I can't stop playin. When I'm not playing I'm looking up posts on this forum and enjoy reading all the info everyone provides. I look forword to posting a picture soon.

Go Wales!

Spudmurphy, I see you are from Cardiff. I'm an Athletic Trainer from the states (physio) who was over for a week working with the Wales National Rugby team. I was there when the team won the 6 nations 2 years ago. Got to go out and celebrate with the team that night. It was the most amazing site to see all the Welsh invade cardiff on that day. Awesome group of guys. Just wanted to say go Wales and hope you get to see the New Zealand match tomorrow. Thanks, for reply on new Axis sport.

Welcome, John G...very nice Sport model w/the hard to find piezo pickup option. Hold onto this gtr...there are very few really nice condition Sports out there especially w/o pickguards.

Hey JG - nice one! I know one one of the Cardiff team - Jamie Robinson who was best man at my nephews wedding.
He got a bunch of stuff signed by the Cardiff team (who had Jonahh Lomu playing for them) for my cousins in Saint Louis. He's had injury troubles and is looking to get back into the Welsh team.
I hope you got to sample the Brains beer and eat a Clarks pie whilst you were over.
I'm on the computer now as I'm sooooo angry with the Welsh team who are playing like school kids against NZ !!
What with the Aussies smashing hell out of us in the Ashes Cricket series and my local Football team -Cardiff City drawing 0 -0 it's not a good time!!
I love the look of your guitar - make sure you get the best outta that Piezo. Take a tip and try it through an AER acoustic amp - It'll floor ya!
Stick around on the forum and contact me again.
thanks
Spud

Most Axis Sports didn't come with pickguards in the HH configuration. The pickguarded ones are the HSS or the rarer SSS configurations.

Great guitar. Welcome. :)

More Pics of Axis s

Here are a few more pics. Made a mistake on thread title, it's a axis sport not super sport. Spudmurphy, I did have the opportunity to tries some brains. After the Ireland game we went to the brains brewery pub for a private party. Most of the boys needed help to get back on the bus that night! Didn't get a chance to sample a Clarks pie. Just following the game on the web and needed to get away from it.

Hey John,

Very nice axe. Welcome to the forums. Someone will help you with the DOB tomorrow. No one is in the offices on the weekends.

Later,
Scott
