Check out these two Axiiii that arrived today - gives a good indication of the great wood that's currently in the wood shop. (if I can say that)

Pete, I know today is a crappy day in CT, but you gotta snap pics outside just as the sun is setting to get some killer shots of these. Especially the burst.

awesome. If the cherry burst one is an indication of how sweet the red Quilt Axis I ordered through Pete will be I'm going to make an honest woman out of my guitar and marry it.

I keep imagining the moment when I get the case with brand spankin new guitar inside. It's still closed and I'm sitting there in front of the case almost too nervous to open it. I'm gonna feel like Indiana Jones finding the arc or something. I have to ask, when first opening the case of a brand new EB guitar does it have a "new guitar smell?" I don't even know if guitars have smells cause I've never got a new one in the case but I imagine it would have some kind of new guitar smell as I open the case. :p

Perhaps some EB new guitar smell car air freshioners could be on the horizon. Simple and effective advertising. :)

Long story short.

That BCB Axis is for the guy who runs our local rehearsal space (the only space in San Antonio; about 50 bands rely on it). He doesn't make much money (barely scrapes by honestly) and it's his full-time gig. So a bunch of the people that rehearse there all chipped in to help pay for a guitar for him (about half of it).

Pretty cool I think. :)

Man, whoever is shooting the Black Cherry Burst finishes at the factory these days is doing an AMAZING job! I've seen some drop-dead gorgeous BCB paint jobs posted here. Someone pat those folks on the back!
