I've probably played something like 3-4k gigs w/ my blue dawn sr5, so I have several. But there are a few that stand out. I was playing it when brent mason walked in and played a set with us. I was playing it when Charlie Daniels (will post pics when i figure out how to get them off myspace) got up and did like 7 songs with us. And I was playing it when my wife told me she was preggers with our first child and then our second child. I met my wife while I was playing it. I can't imagine not having it around. I've played it opening for Kansas and probably 50-60 other Country acts. I've played it w/ Mark Wills, Randy Owen, Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence, Brad Paisley and others. There's just too much history w/ me and my SR5 to ever not have her.

Walking into a small "mom and pop" music store to buy some strings and finding a '76 fretless Stingray hanging on the wall on consignment. Jackpot!

Heh. I've got two--

The first was a long series of moments in Dallas that will never be forgotten.

The second was about 45 minutes ago when I was playing my fretless Bongo recording XMas tunes and got the phone call that the offer we made on our first house was accepted. :D

I predict another series of moments when I have the Atlanta/Alabama Musicman contingent to the house in the Spring for an Ernie Ball-a-thon.

w00t! :D

Mine, well, what is mine.

Here we go. Was one of the busiest days of my life at work. Beleive it or not, an office supply store can get really freakin' busy. I go to lunch and my mom calls and says, "Your new bass is here." So I shoot over to my mom's office and there it was. My new carbon blue pearl HH SR5. Almost cried when I had to leave it.

In Dallas. BP signing my SR5 to my grandson.

Lord Bongo signing my Bongo.

Seeing everyone that was there.

Ray Duke helping me out with some music speak.

#1 for me was my wife having fun and enjoying hanging out in Dallas. Thanks BP.

I will say Open House for me was the highlight of my life next to getting married and the birth of my daughter.

For me, just the sheer pleasure of opening the case, strapping it up and playing it, even quietly or unplugged. It feels really good. The magic has not gone away, and I swear the SR5 sounds better now than in July when I bought it. Simple. No AHA moment, just everyday goodness.
