the AL and the Luke are my first guitars that have a 5 way switch so its been a total blast playing these. lots of cool tones in both those axes that i dont have w/ my standard 2 bucker, 3 way switch guitars.

these things are fun!

I call albert Big Al and not because he weighs about 120 The man plays that guitar and I love this model and really enjoy the new interest in it!

OK .... here's howi bought the guitar.

I was at work w/ my buddy Phil (dude that copied me and got a 20th and a Luke). So i pop open youtube and watch [nomedia="http://youtube.com/watch?v=AOFpQd7aJ9U"]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/nomedia] with Phil. So were watching and at 2:34 seconds in Albert starting throwing down some amazing stuff and just keeps on kickin ass till the song's done. Phil and i look at eachother and bust into luagher cuz he's soooo good and we knows we'll never be able to do that. Phil turned to me at that point and said "you have to buy the Albert" and i said "then you have to get the Silo bass". we looked at eachother nodded and headed off to claim out new MMs

pretty impulsive - but watch the video. how could i resist?

Really nice Axe

Conrats !

Indeed, how to resist when played like that by mr Albert in this video.

I guess this is BP's fault again cause he is playing the bass on that clip ;)

Phatty, that is a great neck man and a wicked story to go with it.

No lets talk about the pictures of Phil's Silo Bass, I don't seem to see them anywhere????

I love that colour- when I was buying mine I was hankering after that finish.
I love it.

Welcome to the club! Our CIC MbGreen will no doubt formally inaugurate you and send you details of passwords , secret handshakes and decoder ring.

I got mine after seeing Albert play in a video too!

It's nice that BP says that there is a renewed interest in the guitar - I've certainly noticed it over the last year too! (Now when did I join and start posting my AL threads? ;) :D ) Certainly there have been a lot of knuckleheads adding an AL to their collection - even EVH man himself Brent !!!! ;)

Can you e mail me some photos so I can include it in the AL page of the 2007 Calendar please?

(my e mail addy is in the 2007 calendar thread)
