I'm married to a nurse. I've come home, sick as a dog, collapsed on the couch and said "I've fallen and I can't get up."

She said

"Good. Stay that way."

Nice bedside manner!

:D

Now to get this thread back on task:

Will the 20th SR5 be available with both Rosewood and Maple boards? Just wondering.:)

I'm thinking since it's an anniversary model it will prob. only be available with one make of fretboard, for consistencies sake. What say you men?

If it's backloaded electronics, then methinks we might have more pickguard options...like NONE! :) I think in that case, this is a must-have for me. I'll hold on to the blue dawn for sentimental reasons (and cause my daughter wants it when I die, which hopefully won't be very soon).

Back-loaded electronics are electronics loaded through the back of the bass (so the wood is routed out from the back, opposed to the front). Sterlings are "back-loaded" as only the control knobs stick out at the front, whereas Stingray4s are front-loaded as you can see there are no cut outs at the back, which is why the chrome control plate covering the electronics behind the tone/volume knobs is needed on the Stingray4. SR5s are also front-loaded (though the electronics are covered by the extended size of the pickguard). Hope that was the answer you were looking for.
