Here is why I hang mine:

1. I have 6 basses, they takk up too much room on stands.
2. My basses are, musically, extremely important to me, but are also just as aesthetically pleasing. I want to display them and make them part of my decorating.
3. I dont have to worry about any children or pets knocking them down, just parents who will ahve holes in their walls when I move out in March, heheh.
4. Keeping them in the case to me is too "out of sight, out of mind" I tend not to pick them up if I dont see t hem.

Sorry for sounding gruff but if out of sight means out of mind Mom and Dad must have paid for them.

Mine all stay on Hamilton hanger stands...I would hang them on the wall, but my back is usually up against that.

My good basses are all out on guitar stands in my living room -

a) so they are handy to pick up and play and

b) they look good and I like looking at them! :)

the advantage of no kids and no pets .....

I've only the 1 EB - 2000 Stingray Lined Fretless with Piezo, but she & my other basses & guitars are all cased when not in use - I've a Tibetan Mastiff that used to love wood when she was younger & it's not worth the risk! ;)

Mine are on stands, ready for playing or staring at! :D No kids, and basses are not one of my dog's targets. Toilet paper, however, is...

P.

That must be what they call "wall of sound".

I store my bongo in its gig bag (a Ritter) : not as protective as a case, but so much easy to carry. My old bass is collecting dust on its stand ans saddely waiting to get played...

I keep one EBMM case handy for when I do venture out to play, the rest of them are on a big shelf in storage. I have nine wall hangers and 14 basses, so a few do have to stay in cases, but all the Balls stay out for easy reach.

I've inherited a large gun display case and I’m going to have it refitted to a guitar display case, it should hold 5 basses. But that will be a while before I have this done.

I really need to put a few bass amps in storage; they take up a lot of room in my small studio. Right now the only amp I use is the LittleMark II and a couple of Berg’s. :D
