Axis Super Sport is similar to the Axis is construction with a basswood body and maple cap for the HH version. MM90 version has an ash body with a cap. The rosewood version is a rosewood neck and cap over the two body woods as referenced. 5 way switch with the HH allows for coil splitting in the notch positions.

Axis Sport is no longer produced. It was an all ash body without a cap and was availble in HSS, HH and MM90's. some with pick guards and some without.

You could also get them (the Sport) in SSS configuration.

SSS Sport

Some of the later sports had the Piezo bridge, there was one on e-bay the other day.

Sadly, you can't order the Sport new, but the Super Sport is a great guitar. :)

Well, I know very little, so I'm guessing that's not directed at me :)

At the moment, used Sports are selling for less the the Supers (although there are always exceptions) on e-bay. Mainly I think because they look a little less 'fancy' (someone will call me on this)

I can't answer which is better, Ive got 2 Sports and one Super and my personal preference is towards the Sport. Then again, other people prefer the Supers.

Which ever one you go for, you won't be dissapointed (IMHO).

Do what I did, get both!

:D
