Hi Folks,

First time post here.. I am wondering if there are any new clear finishes for bongos - where you can see the grain of the wood. I notice that all of the color specs are solid colors for these.

I think a honeyburst bongo would be the meanest thing ... Are there plans to bring these finish options to the Bongo line?

Thanks,

Shepp...

Welcome Shepp. Hang out here have fun and learn all there is to know about Bongos.

There are a couple of tasty ones that have been produced already. Torture threads.

They need a solid color. IMHO They are big gig shakers. :D

These are kind of hard to come by unless you happen to be Dave LaRue.

What if I just said I was Dave LaRue? Really...Who would know?
No offense but what if you had to play it? They might figure it out then. It's a long line and I think that Dave Larue is the only person who isn't in it.

Ah, yes. It'd be nice to get your hands on a trans-finish Bongo...

Wow I wonder what a bfr bongo would look like?

You're an evil, evil man. :D:p

That about sums it up for me. I have also wondered what a BFR Bongo might look like. It's the only thing that might prevent me from buying a blue dawn single H Bongo next year, because I can't have both.

The CLB Bongo that sold on ebay a few months ago was sunburst over ash, IIRC. Another nice combo. The BFR possibilities are simply mind-boggling.

You said it, Gary. Hopefully, if there is a BFR Bongo next year, it'll be announced before the Blue Dawn LE window closes. Not that I wouldn't love to have both....
