+1 on the 30th suggestions. I agree with Figjam that the 2006 is "just another ray" (although that's not putting rays down at all!) - but the 30th is something special. Even Lord Bongo has a soft spot for the 30th - when he's not busy trying to dent floors with it ;)

i know what you mean! Prices in australia are insane! We cant talk about specific prices on here, but i struggled for a while to find a place that had a 30th in stock, but when i found it, i was dismayed to find that it cost a little less than 2 stingrays!!!! however the place i ordered mine from gave me a sizeable discount for which i was greatful, but im still paying it off and am not even half way yet !!!!

I was like you and didnt know whether to go for a regular ray (my choice was vintage burst with maple fretboard) or the 30th. Cuz the regular ray sounded so good (especially in comparision to my recently deceased yamaha RBX) i very nearly went with that, but based up on all the positive feedback for the 30th on here i decided to go for that one without having actually played it. Thats how much i trust you guys!

Tom, the only reason we export Fosters is because Aussies won't drink it. The guy who runs the Fosters marketing campaign in the US and the UK deserves a knighthood for services to the Australian balance of trade.

I don't really know what this means because I'm not normal to begin with, but I've been through about 10 Stingrays over the last couple of years, looking for something special that would compete with my Bongos.

30th Anniversary Stingray does that.

I'm not sure I'd trust us that much, though.

Have you SEEN us?
