Ok, so I got this wonderful bass as a very early birthday and xmas gift, but I forgot to take pics of it with the new pickguard on, and just to prove to you guys that tort on blue pearl does look good, I'll post a bunch of pics.

Have fun gettin gas :p

I've got an axe exactly like that with abalone guard which I really like but those pics are tempting me to pick up the phone:eek:

sadly the headstock does not match, but it wasn't available from where I purchased the bass, and it saved me some money...

Thanks for the kind words guys, too bad she looks better in person :p

Heh--Don't be sad. Personally, I don't usually like dark matching headstocks with maple fretboards.

Good lookin' instrument, and I know it sounds killer.

it was a great price, but if you want to know exactly, send me a PM and I'd be glad to let you know...however, it was definately worth every penny

I already posted a reply, but I just need to speak up again. There's something about that bass that really captivates me. Maybe it's the extreme contrast of the blue/tort/maple. Whatever it is, it looks really GOOD!!

hah, I'm glad you like it bro, and the reason I decided to go with the tort instead of abalone or black is because I don't see rays with blue pearl and tort guards, and I wanted to stand out a little, while still having a bass that looks great, and this did that for me.

I like how no one believed me when I said it would look good, and when I showed them a pic from the bass builder here, but once I got pics, minds changed.

hah, never said it was new, but not that many people have blue with tort, which makes it stand out. This is the first SR 4 that I've seen with blue and tort, but feel free to prove me wrong on that.
