Tifffs!!!

sweet deal, hey, this "club" you're going to.... is it a typical club or a real genuine "only in Germany/sign a waiver/be dressed properly" kinda joint? I've heard those are fun

:p

have a great time! and Merry Christmas!

Enjoy it, Tiffles! My brother and I are taking a trip over there in May to catch up with some friends of my father's that we never got the chance to meet. They're taking us on a tour of the Black Forest, which I'm told is not to be missed. Have fun!

One word for you: Oktoberfest!!!

Which bizarrely enough had finished by October 1st when we arrived this year... why call is OKTOBERfest if they're going to have it in September? Gutted as it wasn't too far from where we were staying either.

Oh well. I do love Germany :D

I'm living near the German frontier, in a town that claims to be the capital of Christmas. And I have to say that i'm fed up with with all that Christmas Circus : tourists everywhere wearing Santa Claus hats (the ones with flashing stars), stinking Glüwein (hot wine with spices) that give you headache because it's made with cheap products, christmas tunes running for hours in the streets (you can get them out of your head), people running for the christmas presents...

This feast has just turned to commercial madness.
Totaly OT but I had to share that.

Thanks God it's new year, so it will stop !

Frankfurt; bass; Uwe Hornung (the Musicman Nut of Gibsons) Uwe has 100+ Gibsons, most of which are on the walls of his office at the law firm he works for. And by all reports, a great host.

Tiffles, I envy you! I would love to spend about a month travelling around Germany. I've got lots of German roots, and I'd like to see the old homelands.
My maternal grandfather's family is from the southwest (a tiny village called Gruol which is now part of Haigerloch in Baden-Württemberg).. between the Black Forest and the Schwabian Alb.

Hope you experience some genuine Gemütlichkeit while you visit.

Wow! Germany, too? Are you sure you're going to remember where you left Australia? :D

Have fun (like you have to be told)!
