Hi, while watching the images of your guitars I found that the P.U. of my Silhouette look different. Some photos:

Do you think they are original? The silhouette was used!
Thanks

What is the date of your Silo? I always thought the older models had pups that looked like that but I could be wrong...best seeing what someone more in the know says.

It's going to have PAF Pros (black poles)...the neck might be a Humbucker from Hell...they switched in like '04 to the Virtual PAFs...

Wait...you're saying that new Silhouettes have virtual PAFs? I thought they had PAF Pros, that's what the EBMM specs state...but then again it says copyright 2001, so maybe the website is out of date?

Hmm...if that's true, it makes me feel a little better about missing out on the 20th Silo, although I really wish they'd make that into a standard model anyway (so I can buy one in a year or two when I can afford it). It's such an awesome guitar, it could be released as a model in it's own right.

Yes they are Virtual PAFs at this point. They stopped using the PAF Pro in like 03/04...my earliest Silhouette is an '04 and it has Virtual PAFs in it. My newest is an '06 and it's the same.

Oh, hmm....very interesting, thanks! That just made the regular silo much more appealing to me. What's the middle pickup like?

What do you mean?

Are you happy because that means that you can get a Virtual PAF in another Ball?

The 20th also has the Virtual Hot PAF in the bridge.

Yes, exactly! I'm lukewarm about the PAF Pros, so I've never looked at the Silhouette much. The Virtual PAFs are a big reason why the 20th caught my eye so much, but if they come standard in the silos now, then I can just get one of those. I'm sure it won't be exactly the same, but I'm cool with the tonal versatility that a stock silo offers, plus the pickguard makes it easier to add a couple electronic mods that I'd like to do.
