Ok...so I've been playing 5'ers exclusively since the summer when I got a Bongo 5. Since then I've acquired an SR5 & a Tony Levin OLP. Now....most of you know I have a white Bongo 4 that I got back in January. I rarely to never play the thing because I like the 5's too much. Now...I know it is some sort of a collectors item & I love the bass but I'm GASing for a dual p/u SR5. Now do I keep the Bongo 4 or attempt to trade it for or sell it to fund an SR5 HH-HS? If I keep it, I'll probably just put it in the case to keep it from getting damaged.

Basses are to be played, not collected, IMO. I think it makes more sense to get an instrument that YOU really want than to keep a bass you don't really play that much. Even though the its a bit rare, it doesn't have much value to you. I would sell it and get what you really want if I were you. Just my $0.02.

I've owned guitars that I didn't play and ended up being quite rare, I hung on to them and sold them at a profit. The money was put into other guitars that I really enjoy and play...
