Lefty Questions of the Day...

Well, there are no stickies about lefty information, so I have to ask again:

-Are the H/H and H/S options going to be available for lefties anytime soon?

-Are Bongos available lefty fretless, lined or unlined?


Finally, why the piezo option is not available for lefties? I'm guessing because the preamp board cannot be simply reversed and would have to be re-engineered. . .

I know a few of these...

Lefty Bongos can be ordered with any fretboard the right handers can get.

About the piezo's, at the factory tour I ask this myself and the answer was something to the effect that not enough leftys are built to justify the large order of piezo the supplier requires make a run of lefty piezo. 25,000 bucks was mentioned… I didn’t have enough cash with me… :(

I don’t know the official word on the two pickup models for us leftys, but I’m saving up some bucks just in case. :D

BP and all of SLO know (from pictorial evidence) that chuck is, indeed, psycho...so building him lefties keeps him from driving up in his new car...shooting up the place...in his undies...with bows on his nipples. :)

i don't even care about the HH HS bit.. i'll take just a regular H stingray or sterling.. i just want rosewood and matching headstock. all i ask for...and them my MM basses would be complete as for colours i like!:D

Man, this makes me glad I learned on a righty. Believe it or not, I am actually left-handed, but when my father and I went to rent my first bass from the music store, they didn't have any lefties in stock. So I got a righty! I like it better, actually, since my fretting hand is my dominant hand, and so I feel a lot more comfortable doing fast lines and complicated arpeggios.

But of course, I'm a weirdo, so YMMV. :)

Thats funny. I'm right handed and learned to play lefty on an old Righty Gibson EB something-or-another. An older cat across the street sold it to me and told me to come by in a week or so and he's teach me something. I come over and he says "You got that upside down, let me reverse the strings" I wish he'd said " You got that upside down, flip it around!" Then I'd be able to buy all of these awesome EBMM Basses that are going for under a grand around here!!

The greatest thing I ever seen a lefty do is what Keith Horne does. He just turns the righty upside down and plays the thing fantastic. Trying to cop his lines from a video takes some doing.

I am too a lefty that plays right handed.
