Thanks, everyone.

I'm really pleased with how the recordings turned out. That's as close to my ideal tone as I've heard, and the EB flats worked beautifully. We had my sound dialed in in about 5 minutes--Chuck even remarked how great it sounded with no tweaking. All he did was attenuate the extremely high output of the True Voice preamp.

I forgot to mention that I also have the BassMute on the first setting in the recordings, too. The TV preamp is very hi-fi-point-to-point-wired transparent, and the mute cuts the notes just a bit short in a way that I find very pleasing.

On my basses with piezos, I usually favor the neck pickup with some piezo added. Not that I don't like the bridge pickup, but I definitely prefer the neck on the 2 pickup models.

Getting in late, but congrats on great playing and a great sound. Solid and tasty!

The HHP is giving you a solid bass sound up and down the neck, but still some defition and air, and when you drop down for the low notes it growls! Great!

I will have to try some EB flats on my SR5....and this makes me less sure of my dream bass....Bongo 5 hhp? SR5 20th HS? Sterling 5????...

Thanks for the kind words.

I think the dream bass problem can be solved with one of each. :D
