That is beautiful beyond words. Whoever snags those are lucky, lucky people. I love that it's the 10 original bridges :D

If I didn't just buy a SR5, have another coming next month which will bring me up to 4 SR5s, and didn't have a large about GAS for a MarkBass rig... I might would try and get one.

I could probably sell my soul and still not afford one.

Now, is this a new design for the future SR5's or just for the Limited Editions?

Phil, only ten like this will be made. The BFR basses are unique amongst the Music Man instruments.

Think of it in three tiers:

1. "Regular" production instruments

2. Limited Edition instruments (once a year)

3. Ball Family Reserve instruments.

So, exactly whom does one have to blow to get the chance to own a BFR????

Mmmkay! Thanks, Jack! :) I guess what I was referring to, however, was the clean, no-pickguard, back-loaded look. If that's reserved just for the LE's and BFR's, that's cool. Makes them all that more special! :D Beautiful, beautiful instruments!

I think you'll find that only 10 of these basses are being made, so it might be hard to 'put one on order'.

Dont worry, I feel the same pain... :(

Eegads, does this mean what I think it means???

If so, Jack:

1) You do not have a vault at home do you?

2) Are you in the phone book?

3) If #2 is a no, can you PM me your address?

4) Could you PM me your out of town appointment calendar for this year?

5) When you do go out of town, better not take it with you, sumpin might

happen to it you know  :p

No, it doesn't, I am sad to report. There are no BFRs in my closet nor will there be any BFRs in my closet anytime soon (unless an unknown rich relative dies).

The "start with Jack" was BP throwing you guys off the trail. (Also trying to improve my social life.)

Look at it this way - there will be ten of these BFR SR5s. One, maybe two, will go to the vault for historical purposes or maybe for Dargin to lord over future forum newbies. So let's say there are eight left.

And let's also say that these are NOT going to be budget-priced instruments (I'm learning the art of understatement from Oldtoe).

Lastly, how are these going to be offered for sale? I don't think even BP knows at this point, so you guys are at the cutting edge of this concept.

Once the process is solidified, we'll know. (I think.)
