I know it's one of the first 50 made, any way to find out it's place in the first 50?

thanks,

Ernie, our records weren't that precise. It does appear yours was one of the first 6, based on the date.

Dan

Thanks, it just seems like such a nice round serial #, I was hoping it was #1, but close enough.

Not to be a pest, but what is it's b'day? You didn't say.

JP's have direct mounted pups and cannot be adjusted. Perhaps you are thinking of the OLP version of the JP which are adjustable.

I realy mean the original Musicman JPs. Maybe its a difference between the USA and the german JPs but in germany they are definately adjustable. I can upload a review of the 6-string JP from the most famous german guitar magazine (Gitarre&Bass) where they commend that the 6-sting have this feature while the 7-string didn't have this in an older review.

All Musicman guitars (JP or otherwise) are built in the US. There are no differences between those sold in the US vs. world-wide. Petrucci had the guitar designed with the pups direct mounted (just like his previous sig. series) and therefore no JP's have adjustable pups.

Hmm, not sure what they are referring to - at the factory, we set up all JP's the same (pickups mounted to body). Unless someone is coming around and somehow changing the setups on the pickups to make them adjustable, I can't imagine what you are saying is accurate. As kneeoh has accurately stated, all Music Man guitars are made in the U.S.A and set up the same.
