I really like my ASS but there's two things I wish were different:
1) slightly thinner neck
2) tabered body for my right arm, right now its just rubbing against the edge

That being said, here's also what I would like that I already have in my ASS (in an ideal world!):

Maple fretboard
Dual humbuckers
Single toggle switch for the pickups
1 volume, 1 tone, nothing else

Based on what I'm asking for, does anyone know of a model that fits all of these qualifications? If not, which ones come close and what would they be missing?

I believe the Petrucci has the thinnest of the necks.
Second, I would guess the Silhouette.

I have an Axis Super Sport and a Silhouette Special. The Silhouette's neck is definitely thinner than the Axis' neck.

If you want the thinnest neck, you should go for the JP model. It's thin, but pretty wide (more wide than the Axis' neck)

Just my opinion...

20th Silo is the only one that will fit all your criteria and you'd have to find one in stock or already odered (Pete may have some)

Silo Spec - HSS or SSS, 5 way
Silo - HSH, 5 way
Petrucci - HH, 3 way, Rosewood
Luke - HSS, Rosewood
Morse - HSSH - more switches than you can count, no contour, rosewood
Morse Y2D - HSH - 5 way,no contour, rosewood
Albert - SSS or MMM - 5 Way (but still the best ;) )
Benji - Single H
SUB - discontinued, rosewood
Youy know what your issues are with the AXIS

Unless I'm forgetting something

yep i'd go for the 20th Silo too, definitely a thinner neck.

now i dont want to cause problems here, but my 4 ASS'es have slight differences in the neck shape. My 2002 Black ASS neck is significantly fatter than my 2006 Honeyburst ASS. i know the EB guys say its always been the same neck carve, but my two are different. My 20th silo feels the same as my Honeyburst ASS.

it might also be the result of gunk which build up for the few years vs fresh clean neck. You can feel that the older neck is more chunky but in fact it isn't maybe

If you want something modern-sounding, try a JP6. If you want something more classic/vintage-sounding, try the 20th Anniversary Silo. Both are awesome guitars out of the box.

I'd buy one of each...and I already have one of each. :p :D

KevDog, if you are looking to try a 20th, there aren't too many GC's in the area that have them in stock. You might check with the GC on Com Ave, they seem to have the larger quantity of EBMM's. The Danvers location migth as well.

I would say that while the 20th Anniversary is a bit more "vintage" oriented in the way it is built, the way it sounds is just HUGE. Hands down it is the best sounding MusicMan that I have ever played.
Gotta add my +1 to that!

Seems to fit your requirements and it is HUGE sounding. I'm really amazed every time I plug mine in at how big it sounds.
