Well I've looked around but don't see anything on this wireless system in the threads.

Has any one used the X2 Digital wireless system on their bass?
With a frequency response of 20Hz up to 12KHz.:)
The low end response is what I noticed ..:) Should almost be transparent.

So Info from users would be great.. If any one is using one..

There are a few threads - search on "wireless" - I know because I asked for recommendations myself a way back! :)

I settled on a Shure SLX and have been very pleased. A bit pricey, but flexible enough to use with other wireless Users (in my Band I am one of three), it's rugged (metal housing), has a battery meter display and comes rack-mountable right out of the box.

Don'y think the SLX goes down to 20Hz, but it did go lower than others I looked at. I refered to my amps frequency range when comparing units to be sure I wasn't losing anything.

I'm sure others will chime in with their favs...

I recommend and use the Shure ULX P4. It's a little pricey, but worth the rack mountable option, down to 25 Hz frequency range (according to the manual), and zip code selectable channel settings.

Shure - Wireless Systems - ULX Professional Wireless Systems

Just put the zip code of the club you are playing, and the website will tell you the best group and channel to program into the wireless:

Shure - Wireless Frequency Finder

I cut out a small notch in the rack plate to get the cable from the back of the wireless to the front of the preamp input instead of wrapping a cable around the rack case:

Thanks guys.
I'm sure that what you are using is great..I'm also looking at a couple of other models myself..
BUT
I'm looking for any one out there that has used the X2 wireless system and can give me/us their experiences with it.
Before I go buy a shure or sennheiser unit..
The reason I'm interested in this unit is that it is DIGITAL and has the audio frquency responce for bass. I also have heard it's street value is around $350us
Which has also purked my interest.

Well I'm not sure about that silverburst..:)
Here it is has been changed to meteric.. I'm from the old school imperial measure.. and use both.. And I've been using cordless tools for years..:D

Wireless for the bass is catching my attention now because I've been dragging that cord behind me for the last 43 years, and it is getting old..

To be free to travell the stage and not be tied down is where I'm trying to get.
I know my place (a lot of people think) is in the back by the drummer But it is about time that changed.
Wireless is one way to do that, it will give you the freedom to roam.

OK ..so It has taken me a few months to get back to this thread.
BUT I have a good reports to make on the X2 wireless system.
Not finding any one here that had used one..
I finally bit the bullet and went out and bought the XDS95 X2 system.
A long story short --it sounds great. I'm using it with the bongo 5.
I can say from experience now that it is clean and clear just like my cord,
that has not been used for a couple of months now.
Don't take my word for it.. go rent one for a gig or two and give it a try..

Regards

I have not tried it, but have heard great things about them from literally every review I've ever seen. I'm planning on getting one...someday.

i been using one for 4 or 5 months now........& i am still totally in love w/ it. it's the first unit i've ever used that truly delivers transparent tone. no compression......no noise.......no dropouts.......& it has not skipped a beat reliability wise.
full frequency response......w/ enough headroom for even me. ( i play a taylor acoustic w/ a built in mic......& do lots of percussion stuff on the guitar.( a very demanding thing headroom wise) it handles active levels just fine.......& low frequencies are transparent !!!
plus it's VERY simple to use. it's guitar player proof !!!!!!! :D there is no calibration required. what you put in is what your amp will see.
i did a review on this a while back and posted it.
i have tried a dozen units over the years.....& this one out performed them all.....even though some were triple the price.
here is a link to the post.

I have one and I love it. Sounds like wire but wireless ;)

The Xmitter goes for about 12 hours on one 9V cell while the Rx unit works with a conventional BOSS center negative barrel plug so it is easy to integrate into my pedalboard daisy chain adapter.

Keep in Mind...

Uncle Sam will soon be gobbling up all the UHF anv VHF frequencies...

Before you go out and buy a wireless system, be sure it's going to last you past the end of the year!

Digital is the way to go... I'm sure the X2 systems will come down in price a bit once everyone realizes this and they start ramping up production.

Huh, Line6 bought X2 a couple of weeks ago. It'll be interesting to see where this goes. Line6 has never been known to color within the lines....... I would love to see a dual channel version for mag and piezo in one box.
