I have the same dilema i like them all, but of course i can't not at the same time....I do love that Blue Dawn LE JP man does it look sweet...(nice case too)

To answer Bierschinken question there will be a BFR and the standard model of the JP F-1...The BFR version will just have an upgraded top in other words LE, and they will be releasing them little by little from what i have gathered.

I'm not sure that is correct. I believe that all F-1's are BFR's. They are considered "standard" BFR's along with the BFR Luke in so much as their availability won't be a limited run. They will be continuously available but fewer in number than the stock JP and Luke. EBMM no longer offer "upgrade tops" as they are all "10" tops from now on.

Maybe your right kneeoh.....I just thought that they were going to be available as a standard model, and on the upgraded tops i did know that they are not available anymore i was just comparing to a standard and a BFR model if there is going to be a standard model of the F-1 i'm still a little confused on BFR, but will see after my dealer gets back from NAMM and comes back with all the info....

There is nothing to be confused about the BFR... the F1 is part of the first run of BFR's that includes a Luke as well. The F1 is totally a different instrument than the regular JP or any LE. LE's are a standard model with different finishes and trim, and now 12 fret inlay.

In short, the F1 is a BFR period. There is no other version of the F1.

Both of the two BFR threads provide all the information that exists on them by EB higher ups. You might reread them with your specific questions in mind... that might helpe you find answers more specified to what you are wanting when you order.

Thanks for the info mesavox, and i have read the thread on the BFR,S as i,m on the forum everyday that's why i thought the f-1 was going to be a standard issue model and not a limited edition model that was what i was confused about, but just like steveb said on this thread lets just wait and see after the NAMM show is done and smoke clears, and we get our questions answered.....I just hope this will end on this....thanks

Oh... I get it... You were partially right... the BFRs are not going away. They are not limited per se. But, there is no F1 that is not a BFR. I think that's what got you confused....

Man... I don't normally like a vintage type color on a guitar like this, but that walnut is absolutely great. I want it, I want it, I want it!!! LOL

BFR is not a limited edition. It will be a deluxe version of certain models of EBMM. To begin by the Petrucci and the Luke. As it is mentioned higher, this edition, the BFR, is going to allow us, commons people that we are, to have the luck to be able to acquire an instrument which only the world famus stars could obtain.

i think the normal Luke and JP that us nomal people buy are world class anyway, and are no different to what those artists get themselves, thats why EBMM pride themselves on. The BFR's are an exception in that the guys get use some different wods, but playability will be the same as always- exceptional.

Very well said Robelinda, i just would like to add "playability" and also sound quality will be the same, surely different because of differents woods, but the "normal" production still fantastic soundwise.
And as you've said Robelinda, normal production are world top class instruments !

Please, escuse me if my previous message was badly interpreted. I find all the model EBMM is really gorgious too. They have each their peculiarity and their tone which surpasses, according to me, those of their most close competitors. But theirs BFR one are above the existing models due to used wood giving a new tone and new top in maple quilt and flame which gives them a look really gorgious.

All the EBMM instrument is for professional use and they are accessible for each of us, from intermediary to virtuoso.

I use a traductor for help me to write and I try to do my best.

I wish for 2007 to have a JP7 and a BFR JP-F1. I want to know if the blue quilted top of the Stingray5 20th anniversary is the same for the JP-F1????

EDIT: I wanted to add re the arm scoop... I think people should consider that the lack of arm scoop is probably a compromise we would all prefer cosmetics wise... to scoop that out with a maple top would mean scooping throught he maple to the alder.... would look a little strange to most of us.

Nas, I respect your opinion but I have to say I disagree - whilst I love my current JP6s, the tonal possibilities offered by the new JP6 (the mahogany tone block and neck) are tantalising and probably one of the most attractive features - especially in the BFR regalia.

I think the modest changes in design, cosmetics and ergonomics represent a tasteful evolution of a very successful guitar. The comments from the man himself seem to suggest that he too feels that the developments are a step forward.

Anyway each to his own - but I can't wait for mine!
