Yep, the classic single H Stingray hasn't changed. It has the front-loaded route and you can see the route for the old-style tabs on the pickups.

Both the HH and HS Stingrays and Sterlings now use the new Bongo-style pickup covers, and are all rear-routed. The HS and HH Stingrays have the control plate on the front for looks only.

One of the guys on TalkBass already bought one from The Perfect Bass.

I mean, HE HAS IT AT HOME, PLAYING IT.

Yeah.. that guy is a moron.. buying a bass from a dealer. The nerve of that jerk. It's asolutely, and insanely immoral. I can't believe he would do something so unethical.

Oh.. and yeah.. I love it.:D

B4H, I was gonna have ya come over here after I saw your pics on TB last night. Didn't know if you visited or not.

Congrats on a beautiful bass!

Thanks, actually I don't come over here very often. Every once in a while I lurk. But today I finally registered. I've always had a fondness for SR5's. My first real bass was a translucent orange SR5 with maple neck, matching headstock. It was a great bass, but alas.. I sold it.

Glad to be back in the family

Me included.

I like the crescent moon plates. You can pick out the Sting Ray a mile away along with it's 3+1 headstock

If you remember, one of the original prototype Dual Pickup Rays was lacking the control plate. Either BP or Dargin asked us which version we preferred. It was overwhelmingly clear that we wanted to keep the silver crescent. At the time, they mentioned that they would all be backloaded no matter what, it would just be a matter of appearance.

Yeah, you're a right bastard for pulling a stunt like that! :D

Welcome to the forum. Great bass!

Inspired me to go looking for a Dargie SR5 of my own.

On top of the 2 Dargie Sterling basses I ordered!

That's it, I'm divorced!

Howdy, Biker Guy!

Nice to have you onboard as more than a lurker.

I may have mentioned that I really like your bass.

Have I mentioned that?

I thought I might as well say hello, as I am eagerly expecting a DD Stingray 5HH to come in the next few weeks. I had a nice Bongo 5HH for a while, but sold it to swing the DD 'ray. It will be mighty nice to have an EBMM bass again -- it's been a LONG wait.

I had thought about selling the DD for a while in order to get a 20th SR5, but my wife told me I was being a fool and that I should keep the DD SR5 instead.

Good woman, my wife.

Hello to all!
