I took a trip to DaveBs' shop yesterday (only a 600 mile round trip for me), the result can be seen below.

That single H is an aggressive little beast, isn't it. :D

Dave looked after me really well, treated me like a king. Fantastic shop.

Thanks Dave. :)

He got every pickup combination in Bongo 5 and SR5 shipped in especially so that I could try them all out! How fantastic is that! I do not know another dealer in the country that would do that for a customer. Of course, the Bongos were all fantastic, so I just had to get them all.

Yes, when the other 2 arrive, that will be seven!

Outrageous! :D

There's no surprise. Dave's as good a person as I've ever met. I wish that he was local to me so that I could shop at his store.

Congrats on the new Bongos, they sure are awesome basses. :)

I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of such a machine.

But I am impressed with its range.

It's safer across in the guitar forum. I strayed into the bass section here last year and ended up with a single H Bongo for my trouble.

I've sucessfully managed to stay on the guitar side again since then, with only very brief trips back here on occasion. Better get back out quick before I'm ensnared once again :D

The guitar forum does have its own dangers though as you can see from my sig. This time last year I had no Balls at all

Very cool! I'd be torn about which one to play first. :D

The thing that really struck me about them was they have such different characters. How can that be? I've decided which songs in the set each one will be better for. For instance, the single H will be good for You Oughta Know, whereas the dual H will be perfect on Do You really Want To Hurt Me.

When I picked up the HS my first thought was "Hmmmm, this is civilised". The HS was my favourite. Can't wait to get that in my possession.
