Yes, the AL comes with maple fingerboard only under normal circumstances. There was a rosewood one at the Open House, and it played and sounded great. I think it was a one-off or something. The Dargie's were rosewood only no matter what model, so the Dargie AL's will be rosewood. Maybe some of the other limited editions too, but I can't think of any offhand.

Thanks for your great input, as always.

I noticed that MF has ALs in stock, including a very interesting looking Translucent Gold color. I posted a link on the eBay sticky.

There seems to be variance in weight on these ALs, even when both are hardtails; some weigh in under 7 lbs and some over 8. Also, still undecided about p'ups. Gawd, I'm beginning to sound like Foggy! Maybe I'll start collecting AL pictures.

Edit: Speaking of Translucent Gold Als and Foggy - ??? :)

No problem. I hope your other guitar in the works, works out for you.

Thanks. It should work out fine. Just ordering the F-1 through Pete D., assuming my EBay transaction goes as planned. The item has sold, and I'm about to ship, pending a shipping quote from USPS and payment. So, we're close.

Candid - there is a trans gold / tort at
Rocker Guitars
1350 HOWARD STREET
SAN FRANCISCO , CA 94103-0000
415-487-1755
415-487-1756 (fax)

Arin (phatduckk) has seen it and it has been on sale recently for a good price. They are a bit hesitant to quote over the phone or e-mail but it might be worth a call. Or if you know anyone in the area that can walk in and check it out.

Thanks, MB. It won't be until June/July that I'll be ready to pop for one. Until then there's time to pick the brains of AL owners, view pics and listen to clips. ;)

Yeah, well...my EBay transaction has to go smoothly first. Plan is for Ruby Burst JP6. I think all of them are fully loaded.

I think it's around 90,000 options being offered by MM so far with a 3-6 month back order. This would only add more pressure

And yet, --I'm not kidding-- I receive *at least* 3 e-mails per day asking for stuff we don't do. I think that with the options that we do provide, most of y'all are happy, right?
