I need to sell some of these! :(

Anyone else in a situation where the gear owns YOU?

Wife stopped that syndrome years ago (I was up to 13 basses - no where close to MM Nut, but then again, who is) - I could think of worse addictions

Only selling NON-EBMM gear.......

I'd keep all the EBMM gear..... But the Rickys , the Dano, the Schecter, and the Fender are outta here! :D

After the way I was treated by the Rickenbacker clowns at the NAMM show, I don't even want to look at them!

I am selling the natural fretless Sterling. But, ONLY in order to buy another in a different finish.....

My wife is great! She doesn't mind me buying them. It's just that they are taking over the bedroom!

A month ago I had 20 basses, and am now down to 14, with 2 on ebay at the moment and another 3 to go up in the next week or two. In a few weeks I'll have my Dargie here too, which means I'll be at 10, which seems like a nice round number for the time being. 10 seem to fit in the study without too much trouble.

Mind you, in the past month I've also ebayed two power amps, a pair of subs, assorted equipment road cases, a lighting rig, a multicore, multi fx unit, drum mics, speaker cables, patch cables, mic cables, two mixing desks, an FX rack and a few other bits and pieces. All of which generated some nice cash flow and made it easy to convince the missus that getting a Dargie is no big deal.

Man, just the shipping and insurance would cost a fortune!

Ritchie

Well, I got the VSB SR from Jack, and the shipping+insurance wasn't that bad actually.
But of course, who'd sell a 30th SR? A damned fool I tells ya!!! And I know you're not a fool, Ritchie.
Besides, I've just ordered a 20th SR5 which I have to save up for. I'll have to pay through the nose for that one!!:p
So the threads where the Brits have been whining about UK-prizes are quite funny to me. Well, funny in a painful kind of way.;)
There been times I have wished I lived in the UK I can tell you that!:)

Yup - just posted something on this the other day. I've cut by half and still have a couple on the block.

DD Bongo HH on the way though - and considering a Stingray 5.

It is a sickness. If I devoted half the time to practicing that I do to gear, I might even get past 'sucky'.

I'm not allowed to post links to ebay in this thread, but you can find 2 of my basses on ebay Australia at the moment (my user name is mdeayton). All the basses I'm selling have "for sale" next to their photos at the "my basses" link in my sig. PM or email me if you're interested in any of them.

I, too talk of thinning the herd, but the feeling passes and then I buy something else.
The key is to stop counting and store them in various locations - the pile doesn't look so big that way.
