Hi guys,

I am in the market for a new guitar and have been looking at some nice higher end models. So far the guitars that I am considering are:

Ibanez 320q, Ernie Ball Axis SS, PRS. So far the Ernie Ball is definately winning. The next issue is finding a great price. I went to a Guitar CEnter tonight and they had one for sticker price of $1550 but the dood said he could do $1500 out the door. How good of a deal is that?

The finish is a Sunburst almost identical to the Silhouette that is listed above the forums.

Price for Axis

I would say that's pretty good; I've seen them for much more.

I purchased mine from Wild West Guitars in Riverside Ca; Wild West Guitars

They are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. They even stayed open a little late so that I could buy my guitar that night. :)

That's not a bad deal. A tad bit high I think. I got my rosewood super sport WITH piezo and case for less.

As for your choices, definitely go with the Axis. I found myself debating between those two 15 years ago. The only PRS's comparable to the SS are in the $2500-3000 range, and that's ridiculous. They're good guitars, but I think the EB is just way more bang for the buck. I have a couple of Ibanez's, but I don't really ever play them anymore. Hope that helps.

axis is a great axe.
when you're looking for a set in neck guitar like PRS i'd prefer a McInturff.
but at the moment i prefer my MM90 rosewood over all other guitars (together w/luke)
