Well BP said it best in another thread. Im the ArmyBass of amps.

Scott, it truly is an honor in the vast internet bassdom to be compared to your likeness. Really.:D

So heres the new amp. An Ampeg V4BH. 100 watts all tube. Sounds way louder than that through my EBMM HD-210s. Have I mentioned how freakin amazing these cabs sound to me?

I bet that sounds great. I also bet you couldn't pay me to move it before and after a gig.

Doesn't it seem extra heavy after the Markbass?

Sounds so great.

Moving it isnt an issue Jason.

Heres what it entails:
1)Put HD-210 in Calzone road case.
2) Place V4BH on top of road case.
3) Push to destination.
4) Done

:D

With road cases, wheels have become my friend. Its much easier to push a rig around rather than carrying it around.

Travis must have fallen and hit his head.......You dont go from Mark Bass to this dinosaur

Oh BP, you have such a way with words. And what the heck, its 8:30 in Georgia. Shouldnt you be sleeping? :D

Out of the 15-20 amps Ive been through over the past year and a half, the Mark was the top, but Im just digging the all tube tone. While I loved the Mark theres just something in the tone of this all tube amp that feels "right".

I can tell you that I look VERY forward to hearing the all tube amp that MarkBass showed at NAMM.

eh, who cares when its gone. I know I got a friend who will be able to give me an informed opinion on any amp I may be interested in. So when he tells me to buy MarkBass, I know its the right amp for me. :D

I like the Ampeg SVT classic, but it is heavy to haul around, I used to have one...

+1, I like the Ampeg tubes as well - the SVP-CL preamp was a better
alternative for me . . it's a great pre.

I wish Travis would just end all this and buy the SVP and a Berg IP
Do it! Do it! ;)

Stingray + all Tube = Heaven

I have been a big amp user forever, and if your band mates love the sound enough to be willing to help, It's only a pain when theres a buncha stairs.
Worth it for me!

On the plus side, every rig that's been through Travis' house has been killer or awesome, so there shouldn't be any need for any more "which amp for my EBMM?" threads. Apparently they're all good.

IF (and its capitalized because its a HUGE IF) my band ever gets signed I'm going out and getting a big ol Ampeg 8x10 and Svt Head.

Until then, being able to carry my neo 212 in one hand and my 6 space rack in the other hand is what I'm all about.
