Me & Larry's guitar over the weekend

Larry,

Friday after your guitar arrived I took it home with me, where I put on a special gray guitar strap made out of duct tape, put the guitar on and danced like Michael Jackson while ABBA played on the 5.1 system and the guitar was plugged into the extra speaker output of my SLO-100 with the OD turned up to 7 or 8 (look at pic for confirmation). Afterwards, I strung it up with 11-52 and set the intonation, then swapped on a set of 8-42s, reversed the battery in the compartment and called it a day. I did manage to take the time to photoshop one of those DD straps from the bass side onto the guitar, but trust me - I left the duct tape on it just for you.

Saturday I took the guitar out to see my cousin's band Yellow9. Jay was having a good time with his new archtop so I had to make him try your Dargie out. He played it for a little while, and only dropped it once. That is the point at which we decided the truss rod needed to be adjusted. We didn't really know the proper procedure for this, so we figured that it would be sufficient if we loosened the little wheel at the bottom of the neck until it couldn't loosen any more. We finally stopped turning it when it bottomed out against the neck pickup. Here's a pic of Jay just after he dropped the guitar.

Sunday I sat around looking at the birdseye on the neck of your guitar for about 2 hours. After I finally found the one birdseye on the neck, I ran and got my camera so I could take a pic. I took it with the flash so the true color of the wood could show better. PS that white spot on the neck heel is not the flash, it's from when Jay dropped your guitar onstage. So sorry.

Check your email my friend, it will be arriving on Thursday - just in time for band practice :D
That's a bad tracking number - I just happened to mess up my printer yesterday and forgot to void the shipment until this morning. I couldn't pass up the chance...

Just for the record I would like to state that the entire post w/ pics of "Larry's" guitar was a joke - He and I both ordered the same guitar, a Dargie Delight LUKE w/ piezo and matching headstock. Both guitars arrived Friday, and I brought mine out to my cousin's gig. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to torture Larry a bit after he had asked me to. Relax, I don't lend out customer's guitars, and I certainly don't gig them

Oh the gigging didn't scare me. Shipping did. I though UPS lost it. They once lost a package of mine. Bad story.
