Hey I'm a Marty fan. His solo stuff is phenomenal. I like
how he uses very exotic sounding scales. I think he lives in Japan and is even fluent in Japanese.

There's some cool clips of him on YouTube if you haven't already. Check out the ones with him and Paul Gilbert (who also spends quite a bit of time in Japan)

I'm a fan as well. I really like the stuff he did with Megadeth. The best lead guitar the band has ever had.

I never could understand how the man holds his pick though... my wrist hurts just looking him play:p

I use to LOVE Marty. I have an old Cacophony show on video, believe it or not. Cool stuff. Marty is truly unique. I love the way he bends up to the note he wants to end his phrase on. SOOO cool.

it's quite a bit different from Megadeth, but it's still rockin'. check out that video i posted, he plays an awesome solo on that, but that awful hot pink PVC shirt makes a lot of noise too :p

Marty is a great player. I got an advance copy of Loudspeaker awhile back, and he has 3/5 of the Breed on there. Vai, Sheehan and Jeremy Colson all added some stuff to the disc.

I am interviewing him this Monday night, and to answer the Japan question...HI!!!! I have to call him in Japan.

It should be a pretty cool day...I talk to Paul Gilbert at 1:30 that afternoon...that is ALOT of shredder for one day...

Night all
