is it possible to get blue dawn without the 2007?

I'm considering getting my JP in blue dawn as opposed to mystic dream... is it only the 2007 LE that come in blue dawn? I don't really like the 2007 at the 12th fret...

Your only other option is to find an older one (pre-2005?) when Blue Dawn was a regular color offering. But it won't have a D-sonic or compensated nut, either.

Sometimes the earlier Blue Dawn JPs pop up on ebay, but I have seen less and less of them as of late.

The 2007 LE inlay is to specifically differentiate the new BD models from the old, so it's not an option to get one without it.

I doubt it. I think because it would involve more work and not be cost effective. Look at it this way...you are asking. But what if the 100's of people who don't post here want the same. Or only 20. That means the fatory has to reconfigure itself to satisfy the 20 people (only a figure...not a fact mind you) and that costs money. I think the LE is a done deal and everyone will have to have the same specs.....sorry you don't like the 12th fret inlay....it is not for everyone.

its not that i dont like it, i think its pretty cool and makes the guitar a collectors item, and the value of it will probably go up because of it.

i was just asking whether or not it was possible. ive seen some guitars without the the inlay and thought that it was possible. if it isnt, it isnt. if i had the choice, i'd probably not get the 2007 inlay, but since it's here to stay, it doesnt really effect my decision. the only thing that affects my decision is the price...

35k is steep eh pete... i can buy a ball in each configuration for that much
