OK, I saw this video ([nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QLJg50fcAo"]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/nomedia]) - and the guitarist has a Morse with a normal tremolo?! (non-Floyd)

Am I halucinating?

My only idea is that he bought a Morse with a Floyd and swapped out the bridge? can this be done without serious modifications?

Yeap, it's a vintage MM trem for me too. But the change is not easy, new holes are needed. Or maybe it was a non-trem Morse originally

You did this to your Morse?

Anyways, I don't think it's a MM trem, I just know it's not a standard bridge that comes with the Morse.

If it was a non-trem, then I presume it would have holes from the hard tail bridge.

Frankly, I don't think it's a real Morse siggy - I think it's a custom build that the guitarist wanted to look like a Morse. The trem looks like a standard non-Ball 2-post vintage trem. Did you guys notice that it only has a H-H setup (and not the usual Morse H-S-S-H) and that all switches and knobs are in the standard Strat position?

Cheers

I think Pablo is right... the controls aren't in the right place, no toggle switches and the fingerboard extends past the truss rod wheel (like the neck on the Pe@vy EVH).

the bands website is: Fireball: Tributo a Deep Purple & Steve Morse
the geetarplayers website is: ...........::::::::::SpiGa_Web_Site::::::::::...........

but nowhere a hint for the guitar.
It has a shaped body and it has (I think) the perloid tuners like Axis or JP.
2 Hubuckers and stratstyle controls + a vintage trem => for sure not a EBMM Morse. even not sure if it´s a EBMM, maybe custom/selfmade
But the guitar has a very beautiful finish, it could be a nice blueburst.

and ... don´t forget - the player does it REALLY well!

Don't hate me for saying this but I couldn't handle much of the video as the singing was so bad and I never really got a good look......(YIKES)

It's a Fender body with a Warmoth EBMM neck.
You can see the exact shape of the body, with the forearm contour in all the shots. I would probably put my money on it being this guitar with a new paintjob and new neck....The Blueburst is way too dark for EBMM....
foto12.jpg

He obviously made a bigger pickguard than the stock one to cover the input...
The dots on the neck are way too big to be an EBMM Morse.....
The trem is exactly the same as the strat in the picture....
I could go on...but I'd bet my life on it.
