Does anyone know if a SUB neck would fit a John Petrucci body? The specs say that their both 2 1/4 wide at the last fret,i don`t know if thats how you can tell or not. Thanks!!

Yeah, I have a chance to get some EBMM misc. parts from different guitars but if these two won`t fit eachother then i`ll just scrap that idea!!!

*LOL* Let me explain.....I recentely bought a SUB 1 guitar used but in perfect condition. I just found another used SUB at a music store near me for dirt cheap because oddly enough the body is (to put it nicely) BEAT,but the neck is in great shape! Found a JP body on the bay and i started thinking if these two parts would fit together,it would make a cool guitar because i really like the SUB neck,and with the JP body,i would have something different than just another SUB! Anyway, maybe i`m reaching a bit!!

The Petrucci is 24 frets while the sub neck is 22. So you can't swap the necks (if you do, you'll change the scale length of the guitar).
But damn ... I'm on the look for a cheap Sub! Buy it anyway

Oh the JP is 24 frets,never thought of that. Oh well,i`ll just hold off till i can get another EBMM someday.

Well if i get it,i would only use the neck and parts and i still would need a body.Basically the body is shot, it`s cracked,like it was really dropped hard or smashed or something! Now i`m thinking that the store is selling it with the hopes of someone wanting it for the neck and parts because their only asking $100 bucks for it and i bet they will take $75! But if i get it,i`ll need a body and i would want to get a EBMM body for it and that might be as its turning out,a problem!

I've seen that body on ebay before. I guess it didn't sell. Description says a silhouette 24 fret will fit it... I would be half tempted to score the body and put it on an OLP... The seller also states that he has the other parts, but he in fact does not. I asked him when he had it up for auction before...

Yeah,i could get it and just hold on to it.Maybe someday i could find a body. I have no idea where to look for a EBMM body except ebay and the only one there now is a JP!

You mean use the EBMM JP body with an OLP neck? I think having a nice neck is more important than the body (unless it`s plywood!) don`t you think? Or i can just get the OLP JP in that case but i wouldn`t be happy with it!
I'd grab the Sub and wait man.... eventually a Silo special body will come around... Also, have you considered maybe using that neck on a custom warmoth or carvin body? You could possibly make one sweet frankenstein

That's an interesting idea.... you could probably even use the pickups from the SUB as well.

Honestly, for 75$ you just have to get it - if all else fails you could just build your own body...
