So y'all know I'm not the fretless player I thought I was but I'm trying. And it's all about the tone - I love my HSp.

So I'm picking it up alot - and with my knee and all I'm working from home exclusively, so it's always an arms length away. Long, boring conference calls have never been the same! :p

Anyway, I picked-up my Sterling earlier today and that "perfect neck" felt just a bit chunky...

I can't believe what's happening to me...

You will thank your knee injury in the long run :D

Didn't realize but you are absolutely right!

anthony! i thought u were one of "our kind" WTF man?

im kiddin... glad youre diggin it :)

Arin - Believe me, I am struggling with this. I mean, my beloved Sterling that was set-up by "the man" himself and made me a Music Man player for life suddenly feeling a bit "chunky"? Wow...

It has been a slow and steady crawl... My Band LOVES my current Bongo (just not always loving me playing it) and my wife is also a big fan - a big plus. ;)

I decided I need one with frets to make it a fair comparison - time will tell which earns the "number one" spot.

I had me that SR5 love going for a long time. A bongo is what I wanted from the time I seen them in the Muscian's Friend catalog. I finally got one and it took a bit to get used to it. BP said just put the others away and play the bongo. That worked and in less than a month I had bongo in the blood. The band said from the first time that is the best sounding bass there is.

By the time you have healed you will have been absorbed into the bongo players that are plumb happy club. :D

Was only a matter of time...

So I call my guy... "Considering a Bongo HSp - Just wondering about price and time to delivery..."

I get the details... "Thanks I'll likely give you a call back in a week or two - still thinking about it and have some eBay business to wrap-up first."

Exactly 10 minutes later... "Here's my deposit - let's get this train rolling!"

Knee is responding well to pre-operative therapy - scheduled for surgery on 3/29.

I've got my summer gigs in July, August and September - looking forward to Bongo action! :)
