Sorry, I was bored this afternoon and decided to immortalise myself on YouTube...however, the Axis looks sweet (unlike my guitar face)

I thought long and hard about that bit. Originally i had a large foam stetson on that i took off and threw across the room, but it worked out too cheesy. There are a few others as well but they might make it on the DVD extras.

Pretty sweet! Yeah, the pulling of the sleeves bit was a nice touch. :)

Very tasty chops dude! I especially like your use of pinch harmonics at just the right times.

And for what it's worth, you have a very calm, controlled looking "guitar face".

My wife says I look like I'm chewing on a dead rat when I'm trying to hit fast runs, but I can't help it (and no, I don't know what she means but I don't dare argue because I need her permission to buy the Desert Gold JP7 I want).

Nice work!

I enjoyed it too. The phrasing, note choice and execution were spot on. I'd like to hear more of your work.

Its a Boss GT8 running through a couple of Yamaha studio monitors. I was using the 5150 model i think.

Hmmm....I was a little surprised too. I remember liking your tone - and also thinking that I can't get that tone out of my GT-8. I just assumed it was from the Vamp (remember you titled it 'Vamping...'), which I also have and was planning to dink around with to see if I could match it.

So talk to me about the GT-8. I run mine from the SPDIF out to my Audiophile 2496 into a set of M-Audio monitors. Was that the stock 5150 patch? What output select setting were you using?

You make it look easy. When I was in high school, a friend of mine told me the cool guitarists make it look easy. To this day, I agree with him. ;) Nice job...

You know, i am absolutely terrible with the GT8. I think I have explored about 5% of it yet i have been using it for a year. The patch there I think was just one of the stock patches that I tweaked a little. I cant remember which one it was though (although "High Gain" something springs to mind. I just have it running from the stereo outputs into some Yamaha studio monitors (that are great).

I love the GT8 but i really crave a really nice decent amp but until I start gigging (which might be never!) I cant justify getting one...not when I still dont have an AL :)

Hehe....I know the feeling. The GT series are a tweaker's dream. The amp models aren't the best, but the effects are just sooooo flexible and programmable that I can't bring myself to get rid of mine. What you did sounded great though - so good job!

Very nice job! Not familiar with the GT-8, but you did get a nice sound of that too. Of course, we ALL know that the tone really comes from the fingers anyhow!
