A Sad Day Indeed…
It’s been exactly 2 weeks since the arrival my Dargie Delight SR5 HH… I call him Dougle. I noticed from the initial trial at the dealer that something wasn’t quite right with the electronics. It sounded like a grounding issue to me, but I couldn’t be certain. I would get a crackling/static type of noise when I would tap on the pots or on the pick-guard around the control cavity.
I was reluctant to bring it back to the dealer at first because it wasn’t very noticeable, and quite frankly, I was having a great time getting to know this tone monster. Sadly, it worsened, the pre-amp began to cut out and the signal was distorting. Based on advise from the good folks at EBMM customer service, I brought it in to the dealer so that their technician could give it a once over.
To make a long story short, the tech. couldn’t determine the problem and the bass is going back to SLO. I can only hope that Dougle is back in my hands very shortly and the good folks in SLO will look after him. I have every confidence that this will turn out well. He ships out tomorrow morning.
Cheers,
Lou
