Hey Beth, do you know if there is or had been a shipment of WW to Musik-Meiyer (Germany)

I mailed with ´em a few weeks ago but at that time they didn´t know when they´ll get the whole bunch of new products.

Call me under 0871/276 08 61:D :D

Made of orange, jojoba and linseed oil they work very well on all types of fretboards, and don't assist in corroding the fretwire like some other citrus oils do. They do work best on porous woods such as rosewood, pau ferro (I almost wrote "Paul Ferro", hahahaha) and ebony. If you use them on maple, it would be best to have a dry polish cloth to wipe away excess.

Beth,
What would be best to use on the back of the neck? The fretboard conditioner, string wipes or instrument polish? I don't like to do the BC treatment too often, but would like to know if any of the wipes would be a better bet between treatments...

I was asking because what I'm using right now specifically says not to use it on maple fretboards.

WWs work with maple! Give Mogar a call to find where they have them in Italy! Its always good to have the end customers pressure the dealers and distributors for new products, it reinforces the validity of these products in their eyes when we come at them from all angles. :)

Hey Mike,

I'd probably use the WW fretboard conditioner on the maple neck, but again, its best to wipe off the excess wetness of the WWs with a dry polish cloth. If the neck is very dirty, try Murphy's Oil Soap diluted 3:1 and seal the back of the neck with a high grade of gunstock oil. More info on the FAQ here: http://www.ernieball.com/faq_content.php?subjectcode=mm_guitars

Hope this helps!

I bought some of the string wipes. I really like them and they do a great job keeping the strings clean. My only recommendation would be to make them about half as small. I end up cutting them in half with scissors as I'm a cheap basturd and can easily clean the strings of the guitar of the night after playing.

Nice job EBMM - great idea!!

Thanks Jodizzle and Beth! Yes - I do know the routine from the FAQ, but I just don't like to do it too often. I was hoping for something I can use to just wipe down the neck after every session. Sounds like the Fretboard Conditioner wipes might be just the thing. Thanks a bunch!!!

I like to use instrument polish on the back of my necks of other instruments. They have a poly finish though. I'm not sure how well that would work with MusicMan necks.

I've been using the string wipes. I love that it doesn't feel oily and that you can use the wipe to get under the strings which is great. The sheet does tend to leave fibers on the strings if you rub too hard though. Still I'm happy them.
