Hey, who remembers a finish that isn't offered by Ernie Ball / Musicman anymore? Wanna talk about it?

Myself, I'm mourning the trans green, but maybe you miss that lavender metallic, or one of the many discontinued finishes...

I just wanted to start a thread here and see how it goes.

If you have photos of basses in any discontinued or custom finishes, you should share them here! :)

Very nice! I am all about the trans green.
I'm looking into having a Sterling finished in that, the pearloid pick guard looks nice but i was gonna go with a tortoise shell one.

Butter cream is awesome - gets compliments from everyone who sees it - so glad I have one.

Of those other finishes out there, Copperhead Bronze and White sparkle do it for me...

Both with matching headstocks, of course! :)

I love the matching headstocks, thats gonna be a problem for me though seeing as i'm having mine painted custom so it can be trans green, i cant get the headstock to match ... i think thatd be more work than its worth. the painting is already gonna be pricey. :(

I love Metal Flake Green, Trans. Purple, Purple. I kind of wish they made a pink bass. :D No really, that would be great.

I agree, pink would look wicked, maybe a fluorescent, gloss paint or a sparkle.
Combine that with a black or white pearloid pick guard and that's bangin'!

I saw a Sparkle Cherry Burst - type color on EvilBay not too long ago that looked amazing! (Not sure what the actual color name was.)

The Envy Green is bad also!

Oh yeah.....White Sparkle! (definately, definately sparkly)

I'd love to see any if not all of the sparkles make a return.

Trans White would be great to have back too.

I'm a big fan of the sparkles as well.

Here's the lavender metallic-ey one i was referring to in the first post of this thread.

I've never seen this finish used by anybody other than Roger of Less Than Jake, he has just about every finish made for this bass. I envy his collection, I really do.

The Pink photoshop does look a bit purplish. I'll work on a better one tomorrow morning, while I'm not doing much. Sparkles are great, in the right color. Sunburst sparkles look weird to me, but that's me. And that lavender metallic-ey finish is nice. What color is that called?
