Hey guys. The one with 22 frets is an old Custom, not really a KH. Someone ordered it pretty much the same with the exception of the direction of the inlays and the 22 frets. It probably cost them about 2-3K to order, but I got it for dirt cheap so I couldn't pass it up.

I pretty much stopped liking Metallica a few years ago, seeing as it seems they lost their musical talent IMO. I still love their old stuff, but newer stuff....BLAH. I just love the guitars is all and always wanted them when I was younger.

FYI Dream Theater and Black Label Society are my favorite Bands
Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci are my FAVORITE guitars hands down. I saw them here in Chicago a few weeks ago on the G3 tour. It was probably one of the best concerts I've ever been too.

Agreed, my first concert ever was Metallica and Godsmack, and I don't dare play any of those cds anymore. And Justice For All was my favorite album for a while, until I heard Pantera, then it was Far Beyond Driven, then I heard Dream Theater, and well... you know how that is :)

What do you like about BLS? Old or new? I tried getting into Mafia, but I just couldn't feel it, the worn out pinches and pentatonic flurries just became kind of predictable IMO. Pride and Glory is tight though :)

MusicManJP6 has a white JP6 on the way, but thats all I can think of.

Yep, I am still feverishly awaiting my White JP6. It seems to be a very rare/unpopular color option on the JP. That is sort of why I bought it.

I am only 2 months into the wait period! I was told by the dealer that the EB rep stated '3 months' at the time of purchase, but I am planning on 6 months. If it comes earlier I will be ecstatic!

I thought the D-Sonic was supposed to be 'brighter'? You described it as 'bassy'? That's interesting... I can't wait to hear the difference for myself!

Yeah I ordered mine from Music123, but they matched someone elses cheaper price. The idiot told me 2-4 weeks till I got it. I had no idea they make them to order. It took almost exactly 6 months. It sucks having to wait for a guitar and all, but its really nice knowing that they are making it just for you! Yeah I dunno what I'm gonna do about the Dsonic. I think its just cause I'm used to my active EMGs, which are very bright, with the exception of the Dimarzios in my Jem. I really like the evo pickup for a passive.

I like all of BLS. Yes Zakk does get VERY repetitive, but I think he creates some of the best riffs. He does seem to have gotten pretty sloppy in his soloing and it pretty much sounds all the same to me, but I still love Zakk and BLS. He does play that same stuff all the time, when he solos by himself though.

Exactly how I felt when I ordered mine back in November. I was so happy to actually be able to afford it, and I swiped my card and all I had left to do was wait, but I was kinda bummed that I couldn't have it then and there. But like you said, it's going to be cool saying it was custom built to my liking.

I like some older BLS, like Super Terrorizer, and yes, Zakk writes some awesome riffs, whether its a chugfest or a ballad. Takillya [sp?] is pretty cool, and the solo in Stillborn is tight as hell, but I wish he was as brilliant now as he was back in the No More Tears days. IMO, that was his high point, which is kind of ironic, because his status then is nothing compared to the monster guitar legend he's portrayed as today. Still a hell of a player, and no disrespect to you for loving his playing, he just seems as if he's done all the new things with his music that he intends to do.

Agreed 100% on DT though, jamming A Change of Seasons as I type.

Love BLS, too. But the whole Biker gang thing is getting a little tiresome.

P.S. Someone here on the forum with an older JP might be willing to trade one of the older JP DiMarzios for the DSonic. Couldn't hurt to ask.

Agreed. He used to wear bellbottoms and jam to southern rock....eg Pride and Glory. I do think that his best years were the whole time he was with Ozzy though.

Does anyone else have a white JP6?

I know for a fact that there are a few JP6s and at least one JP7 in white out there.
