So I was looking around on Craigslist last night and I came across this ad:
MusicMan HH Guitar Blue made in US - Sub1 - Trade -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: 2007-03-31, 1:12PM PDT
Great guitar, just not me.
Looking for something different.
What have you got?
I responded with "I'll trade my Ibanez S470 for it". I figured he go wouldn't go for it, but he emailed me back saying that he really wanted the Ibanez!
So, I drove out to the valley and we did a quick swap in the parking lot of his work. He seemed happy with the trade, and I am definitely happy. Both of us seemed to have done a good job of keeping our guitars in good shape.
The Ibanez was my main guitar for six years until I bought my Silo Spec a few months ago. It was OK, but the floating bridge was driving me crazy. It was so limiting as far as trying to do alternate tunings without the hassle of unscrewing the locking nuts. And changing the strings?... forget it, it took hours sometimes.
The Ibanez served me well, but I think the SUB1 is a much better guitar. I guess he did make out a little in that my Ibanez had a hard shell case, and the SUB only has a gig bag.
So that's the last of my non-EBMM electric guitars/basses. I am all Ball now.
