It's a different kind of Easter than the one I grew up with, when my mother used it as an occasion to make a fashion show of us all, and my dad used it as an occasion to show off my mother. The priests in church did the same thing; everything showing red, purple and gold, the smells, turned on with frankincense. Even the chickens suddenly made pretty colored eggs. Jesus rose from being dead and went to sit with the Father. I wonder if they had to dress up too?
Happy Easter/Passover to all. My family had a wonderful day---my oldest son had a visit from the Easter Bunny, we attended mass, I cooked a Apricot glazed ham w/ mashed potatos, veggies and biscuits, followed by an Easter egg hunt (first one for me and my son), a dip in the pool, coloring Easter eggs, cake and now rest. Phew! Hope all of yours was just as enjoyable.
