This may have come up before but I have been watching all my Rush DVDs in anticipation for the new album and I am just watching the Boys In Brazil documentary on the Rush in Rio DVD and there are some scenes of the boys warming up before the show and they show Alex doing his warm up and he is playing....

A honeyburst hardtail Axis Super Sport with MM90s!!

I never noticed this before (i havent watched it for a few years)!

You think? How old? Which era? I think it sounds like the Rush we've been getting the past few years. I don't really have a great knowledge of old, old Rush--like back in the 1970's. I've got "Hemispheres" somewhere, but I never really got into it. I don't think it sounds like that IIRC.

Call me a product of my childhood, but man...I still think "Moving Pictures" is my favorite Rush album.:D

Man I was a huge Rush fan! I've seen that clip, sure it's been posted here before with the Axis.

The new clips sound need- he's definitely got some of his Hemishperes guitar tones back. Though I love Moving Pictures, Hemispheres was really the big album for me- made me want to learn every note.

I don't really think that the new track sounds like old Rush. It has the "Hemispheres chord" in it...but it sounds a hell of a lot like a better recorded/mastered version of something off Vapour Trails. I haven't really loved a Rush album since counterparts...it's almost like they're going through the motions of late and you have to sift through a ton of filler to find a gem. It also didn't help matters any that Vapour Trails was compressed beyond compressed when it was mastered because it's almost unlistenable...I wish they'd remix/remaster it...

There were rumours and even a press release (i think) to say it was gonna be remastered but that was ages ago and i still only have my crackly CD to listen to

I'll have to look at that again myself!

RUSH was my first concert back in the Signals tour. I still have the original tour book..hehe. I think I will buy that collection they are selling of all their tour books though, that would be very cool to have.

I have my tickets ready for them to hit Vegas!

Cheers!,
