Hey all. I've got a Crest Audio 600watt amplifier I got from a meeting hall we were remodeling. I would like to build my own bass cab. Any of you have any experience with this or any good links I can go too.

There's a huge pile of info in the net.

Google "diy bass speaker cabinets"

Also look up Allparts for things like corners, covering material, etc.

Doing things yourself can be rewarding, but also frustrating. There's a company that makes darned good cabinets for the money, and they actually don't cost much more than what it would cost you to do it yourself. (Like tens of dollars more, not hundreds more.)

They're called Avatar. Avatar Speakers

I had one of their 2x12s back when I was using conventional amplification, and I loved it. The tweeter was a bit bright, but I just turned it down.

The devil is in the details. Once you add up materials and supplies, plus all of the requisite hardware, plus...plus...plus...you find you might as well just have someone else do the sawing, gluing and screwing for you.

Note for moderators...since this post mentions a non-EBMM vendor it might violate some forum protocol...but I figure since EBMM isn't in the business of building cabinets it's okay. If not, blow it away.
