I was wondering if it's possible to get an Ice white or black pickguard for a MM Sub1 guitar? I really don't like the standard "diamond" pickguard i have now. I havent seen the "Ice" material in shops, so i'm wondering if this is only available at Musicman?

I know the Silo Special guard fits for sure- I sold one to Raz to put on his Sub. But the regular Silo neck sits deeper in the body for the extra frets, so I'm not sure if it would.

There is a guy who designs after market pickguards for EBMM guitars and sells them on Ebay. Not sure, if you want to go that route.... but it is an option.

Have you considered brushed aluminum? Personally I think the ice pickguards would clash badly with the textured finish.

I think the Ice black looks will look pretty decent with the textured finish. I'm not 100% sure either, but i wanna find out... ;)

Any thoughts on where I might get one of these? I have the diamond plate - which I like, but given that it's just a thin layer of foil over a backing, it's already got some shiny spots from where my hand rubs. I'd love to have something more stable...

Do you know anyone who works in a machine shop? They could easily make one for you. Also, I am sure there are shops on the internet that could make one for you. With the right tools and measurements you could even do it yourself. :)

Unfortunately, no. I was looking for an easy, ready made solution. Oh well...it was worth a shot. :D
